Victory Hockey presents a Skills and Developmental Hockey Camp. This camp is for beginner to advanced level mite – squirt age players. Campers will be divided during the on-ice portion according to age and ability. Players will be trained in on and off ice drills. Victory Hockey teaching methods are designed to advance players in shooting, skating, and puck handling. Our camps comprise each day of the following:

Daily Breakdown:
- 1 hour & 20 min. of on-ice instruction
- 30 min. of video analysis
- 20 min. classroom
- 40 min. of off-ice drills

1 hour & 20 min. of On-Ice Instruction:
During the on-ice portion players are taught on skating (edges, stride, balance, transitions, cross over and under, forwards and backwards techniques) puck handling (control, puck protection, keeping your head up, dekes) and shooting (wrist, snap, slap, and backhanders). Players are given one-on-one instruction during key areas to maximize their development. We have found one-on-one training as the quickest way to improvement.

The shooting drills we use enhance campers form, balance, using your stick, keeping the puck close to you body, using your core, proper leverage, and kick. We focus on shooting in stride, quick releases, and where to shoot. We also show advantages and disadvantages of different curves, flexes, and lies on the market. Which often leave a dramatic impact on shooting speed and puck control.

30 min. of Video Analysis:
Players are filmed shooting during the on-ice secession. During video analysis we will encourage on what each player is doing right and instruct them on necessary changes.

40 min. of Off-Ice Drills:
Our off-ice drills are designed to improve on a player's balance, strength, and agility. We separately instruct each player shooting on our synthetic ice boards. Players then practice their form immediately following video analysis. Skating exercises consist of sprints, plyometrics, high intensity interval training, and other strength and conditioning drills. Players are also instructed in a series off-ice puck handling drills that stress on control, soft hands, keeping your head up, and listening skills. Drills are not copyrighted so players are encouraged to take them home and repeat over and over.

20 min. Classroom:
Classroom time is designed to teach players on how to succeed in hockey but more importantly in the game of life. Some of the topics we discuss are, "obeying authority (parents, teachers, and coaches), how to keep a winning attitude, treating others how you want to be treated, believing in yourself, fulfilling your purpose and dreams (You were created for a reason), hope beyond what you can see, God is for you and not against you, and health and nutrition," to name a few. The Bible is used as the foundation of our entire camp. All players will be treated with integrity, kindness, discipline, and respect.
